Professor Amnon Sella
A graduate of the Hebrew University in English Literature and Russian Studies, he received his Ph.D. from the University of Edinburgh in 1973, and has been on the department's faculty since. He has served as a visiting professor at Oxford and Georgetown Universities.
Professor Sella's areas of expertise include Soviet and Russian studies; the Red Army and Soviet military doctrine; Russia as a state in transition; history of world order in the 20th century; issues of security and ethics in Israel and in general.
